Catalina Trip!

 Mystic Star took myself and shipmate Jon S to Catalina for a week.  We pit-stopped in Dana Point on the way up and Oceanside on the way back.  

We spent 2 nights at Avalon (inbound/outbound) and 1 night each at Emerald Bay and Little Geiger.

New home at Bay Club Marina

 Mystic Star has a new home at Bay Club Marina-Hotel.  This is next to Humphreys on Shelter Island.

The slip is nice and calm... there are 40 foot boats tied down with half inch mooring lines.  I've experienced none of the 'shake and bake' I did at either the North or South piers at NBPL Marina.

As an added bonus, you can faintly hear the outdoor concerts at Humphrey's (dinghy seems to be the preferred means of experiencing a Humphreys concert) and you can see the Sea World fireworks (!) when they launch them on weekends.
